A timber or oak-framed carriage house is a traditional looking garage, often called a car barn or cart lodge. Originally designed for carriages, a single carriage house is subtly different to a single garage, being slightly taller and more traditional in appearance. An oak-framed or oak-fronted carriage house is the perfect garage for period properties or those in conservation areas.
Built to your design, we offer a range of sizes for your single carriage house to garage 4x4 vehicles and SUVs as well as including space for storage or a workshop area.
Available as an open bay or with garage doors as well as a choice of roofing, your single carriage house is completely customisable. Add a personal side door, windows and a log store and choose from shiplap cladding or traditional weatherboard. Visualise your finished carriage house using our 3D designer and build a quote online.
If space permits, it might be worth considering a larger double carriage house. We also offer triple carriage houses and any number of parking bays you require, as well as recessed fronts with a window and personal door to create a self-contained workshop.

Our Olson carriage houses are available in various specifications that are designed suit your every budget and requirement. From OTB 2, which is a great budget option with Onduline roofing, to OTB 3 which has with it a variety of additional features such as; increased height for taller vehicles, oak headers, curved bracing and heavier timbers for tiled roofing.
